Lucky-Goldstar

Lucky Chemical Industrial Co., established in 1947, marks its historic roots as South Korea's first chemical enterprise. The company resulted from a joint venture between the Koo and Heo families, illustrating an early example of business collaboration in the Korean Peninsula.

In 1958, the firm diversified its operations and delved into household appliance production, birthing "Goldstar Electronics Company." Pioneering the electrical appliance industry in South Korea, Goldstar ushered in a new era of convenience and technological prowess for Korean households.

Lucky Chemical Industrial Co. and Goldstar Electronics amalgamated, creating the conglomerate known as the Lucky-Goldstar Group. This group represented a significant force in South Korea's industrial landscape, boasting a wide range of functions from chemicals to electronics.

In March 1995, the Lucky-Goldstar Group underwent rebranding and was officially renamed LG Group. This new brand identity represented a global-facing, technologically advanced group that continued to build on the robust foundations of its predecessor companies. Today, the LG Group stands as a testament to the transformation and growth of the Korean industrial scene.
